Lee 131 merupakan budget version dari Lee 101 yang dikeluarkan pada tahun 1934. Model jeans ini memiliki hampir semua detail yang dimiliki oleh Lee namun terdapat juga beberapa perbedaan dari gaya detail Lee pada umumnya. Sebut saja penggunaan 2 buah leather patch, rivet yang berbeda dan juga konstruksi seam yang berbeda, tidak lupa bahan denim yang juga lebih ringan dari saudaranya 101.
Sepintas memang model ini terlihat sedikit banyak menyerupai rekannya model 101, memiliki suspender button, crotch rivet, button fly bahkan hair-on-hide patch. Namun bisa kita lihat perbedaan yang paling nyata yaitu bentuk kantong belakangnya yang sangat berbeda. Kantong belakangnya tidak menggunakan Lazy S dan terasa lebih besar dari kantong Lee pada umumnya, cocok untuk menaruh tools bagi para workers. Terdapat sebuah penburn patch di kantong kiri. Penburn patch ini berfungsi sebagai tempat untuk ditulis nama dari pemakainya, biasanya diemboss seperti embossing pada patch Lee lainnya.
Jeans ini tidak tanggung-tanggung memiliki 3 buah patch untuk brandingnya, sebuah leather patch di bagian kanan, Hair-on-hide patch di kiri dan juga penburn patch untuk dinamai. Walaupun merupakan sebuah budget version, namun tampaknya Lee tetap ingin membuat model ini tampak kaya dan penuh dengan detail yang menarik.
Untuk masalah hardware, jeans ini masih memiliki hardware-hardware yang menarik. Sebut saja penggunaan brass button untuk top button dan suspender button yang berbentuk donut button dengan tulisan Lee Union-Alls. Kita suka akan warna kuning brass-nya yang cukup mencolok. Sayangnya button fly hanya menggunakan button fly yang sangat flat dan kurang menarik. Rivet yang digunakan di model ini berbeda dengan model Lee lainnya dan sesudah model ini, rivet semacam ini tidak pernah digunakan lagi di model Lee selanjutnya.
Bahan yang ditawarkan oleh model ini cukup menarik, bahkan untuk sebuah budget version. Denim biru indigo seberat 11oz digunakan untuk model ini dan memiliki tekstur yang cukup unik, bahkan menurut kami sedikit lebih menarik dari beberapa model 101 lainnya. Untuk konstruksinya, kita masih bisa melihat gaya lama Lee yang menggunakan double stitch di waistband bagian bawah dan juga double felled inseam. Namun khusus untuk produk ini, kedua seam dibuat dengan double felled.
Jeans ini memiliki cutting straight yang bernuansa vintage dan akan cocok bagi anda yang mencari model lain Lee selain Lee 101.

Lee 131 is the budget version of the 1934’s Lee 101. This model has almost every details of Lee jeans, with some difference from the common Lee details. For instance the used of 2 leather patch, a different rivet and seam construction, also the lighter denim material from its brother, the 101.
At a glance this model may look like its brother, the 101 model. It has a suspender button, crotch rivet, button fly, and even the hair-on-hide patch. Yet we could see the most obvious difference which is the shape of the back pocket. The back pocket on this model is not using the Lazy S and looks larger from the common Lee’s pocket, it is suitable for workers to place tools inside. There is a penburn patch on the left pocket. This penburn patch’s function as a place to write down the owner’s name, it is usually embossed like the embossing on the other Lee’s patch.
This jeans exceptionally has three patches for their brandings, a leather patch on the right side, hair-on-hide patch on the left side and also a penburn patch on which the owner can put their name. Eventhough this is the budget version, yet it seems like Lee is still want to make this model looks rich and full of interesting details.
More about the hardware, this jeans still have some interesting hardwares. For example we can see the use of a brass button for the top button and the donut buttons shaped  with a Lee Union-Alls written for the suspender buttons. We also like the quite striking yellow brass color. Unforunately they only use a flat and less interesting button fly. The rivet used on this model is different from the other Lee model, this kind of rivet is no longer used on further Lee models.
The material offered by this model is quite interesting, even for a budget version. A blue, 11oz weigh indigo denim is used for this model and has a quite unique textures, even a bit more interesting than the other 101 models in our opinion. On the construction, we still could see the old style Lee, which using a double stitch on the bottom waistband and also a double felled inseam. However particularly on this product, both seam has made with double felled.
